Welcome to the Multi-Institutional Mock Study Section 2026!

The Multi-Institutional Mock Study Section brings together clinical and translational science programs from across the country to provide participants with hands-on experience in the NIH peer review process.

This Zoom-based NIH study section simulation is hosted by the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute in partnership with the following institutions:

Case Western Reserve University
University of North Carolina Translational and Clinical Sciences Institute
University of Central Florida College of Medicine
University of Minnesota Clinical and Translational Science Institute
University of Pittsburgh Institute for Clinical Research Education
Yale Center for Clinical Investigation at Yale University

Participants will review previously submitted R and K applications, prepare written comments, and then take part in a formal discussion led by experienced senior investigators.

At the conclusion of the review, participants will have an opportunity to compare their critiques with the actual feedback/summary statements provided by the NIH.
